Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accountant to join our team in Kochi, near Changampuzha Park. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of experience in accounting, financial reporting, and bookkeeping. As an Accountant, you will be responsible for maintaining financial records, preparing financial statements, managing tax filings, and ensuring compliance with accounting regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
• Financial Record Keeping: Maintain accurate financial records and ledgers, including journal entries, bank reconciliations, and accounts payable/receivable.
• Financial Reporting: Prepare and submit monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
• Tax Compliance: Assist with tax planning and ensure timely filing of tax returns, including GST, income tax, and other regulatory requirements.
• Payroll Processing: Oversee payroll processing, ensuring accuracy and compliance with labor laws and tax regulations.
• Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in the preparation of budgets, financial forecasts, and variance analysis to support decision-making.
• Expense Management: Review and process expense reports, ensuring adherence to company policies and budgetary constraints.
• Accounts Reconciliation: Perform regular reconciliations of bank statements, accounts payable/receivable, and general ledger.
• Internal Controls: Implement and maintain internal controls to ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial information.
• Audit Support: Assist in internal and external audits by providing required documentation and explanations.
• Compliance: Ensure adherence to accounting standards, company policies, and legal requirements.
Required Qualifications:
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Relevant certifications (e.g., CA, CMA) are a plus.
• Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting, bookkeeping, or financial reporting.
• Skills:
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial regulations.
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Tally, QuickBooks, SAP) and MS Excel.
• Ability to prepare and analyze financial statements and reports.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
Desirable Skills:
• Experience in tax filings, compliance, and audits.
• Familiarity with accounting for small to medium-sized businesses.
• Knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.
