Job description
The HR Manager at Seedhouse Learning Academy is responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of human resources practices, including recruitment, employee relations, performance management, compliance, and employee development. The role ensures that the academy attracts, nurtures, and retains a talented team of educators and support staff, while fostering a positive and productive work environment.

Key Responsibilities:
• Recruitment & Onboarding:
• Develop and implement recruitment strategies to attract high-quality educators and staff.
• Manage the full recruitment lifecycle, including job postings, candidate screening, interviews, and selection.
• Oversee employee onboarding, orientation, and induction programs to integrate new hires into the academy culture.
• Employee Relations:
• Act as the primary point of contact for employees to address concerns, grievances, and workplace conflicts.
• Promote positive employee relations by facilitating communication between staff and management.
• Handle disciplinary actions, counseling, and termination processes when necessary.
• Performance Management:
• Implement performance management systems to regularly evaluate staff and educators.
• Assist in setting performance goals, conducting appraisals, and creating development plans for employees.
• Identify key retention strategies and manage talent development programs.
• Compensation & Benefits:
• Manage payroll and benefits administration, ensuring accuracy and compliance with internal policies.
• Conduct salary benchmarking and offer competitive compensation packages to attract and retain top talent.
• Oversee employee welfare programs, including health and retirement benefits.
• Policy Development & Compliance:
• Ensure that HR policies and procedures are up to date and comply with local labor laws and educational regulations.
• Address and mitigate any HR-related legal issues, including workplace safety, diversity, and inclusion.
• Provide guidance on the implementation of policies to ensure adherence across the academy.
• Training & Development:
• Identify training needs for staff and educators, designing and implementing training programs to enhance skills and professional development.
• Promote career development opportunities and continuous learning within the academy.
• HR Analytics & Reporting:
• Monitor HR metrics such as employee turnover, absenteeism, and performance.
• Provide regular reports to the management team with recommendations for improving HR processes and staff efficiency.
• HR Technology & Systems:
• Maintain the HR information system (HRIS) to manage employee data, attendance, and performance.
• Utilize HR software to streamline processes such as recruitment, payroll, and performance evaluations.

Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master’s degree in HR or a relevant discipline is a plus.
• Minimum of [X] years of HR experience, preferably within an educational setting.
• Familiarity with HR best practices and Kerala state labor laws.
• Proficiency in HR software and MS Office.
