Job description
1. Project Planning:
• Develop comprehensive project plans outlining the scope of budget, project schedule, Project goals & objectives, Project deliverables, Project exclusions & constraints, Project milestones, work breakdown structure (WBS), Scope baseline, Timeline and resource requirements.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define project objectives and deliverables.
• Ensure alignment of project goals with organizational objectives.
2. Resource Management:
• Effectively allocate and manage resources for the project, including raw materials, human resources, machinery and equipment, financial resources, as well as information and data.
• Coordinate with internal teams and external contractors to ensure adequate staffing.
• Monitor and optimize resource utilization throughout the project lifecycle.
3. Budget Oversight:
• Develop and manage project budgets, ensuring adherence to financial constraints.
• Track expenses, review invoices, and report on budgetary status regularly.
• Identify and address budget variations promptly.
4. Timeline Adherence:
• Create and maintain project schedules, adjusting as necessary to meet changing requirements.
• Monitor progress against timelines and implement corrective actions as needed.
• Anticipate and mitigate potential project delays.
5. Quality Assurance:
• Establish and enforce quality IEEE Standard for the Design and Installation of Cable Systems
• Conduct regular inspections to ensure compliance with industry regulations and project specifications.
• Implement corrective measures to address quality issues promptly.
6. Client Communication:
• Serve as the primary point of contact for clients throughout the project lifecycle.
• Ensure effective communication and confirmation of project plans, accompanied by documented approvals for any additions, deletions, or revisions to quotes and financial documentation.
• Provide regular updates on project status, milestones, and any potential issues.
• Address client concerns and ensure satisfaction with project outcomes.
7. Risk Management:
• Identify and assess potential risks associated with the project.
• Develop risk mitigation strategies and contingency plans.
• Implement proactive measures to prevent and address issues as they arise.
8. Team Leadership:
• Lead and motivate project teams, fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment.
• Conduct regular team meetings to communicate project objectives and expectations with client.
• Conducts regular project meetings to provide updates for team members and management internally.
• Provide guidance and support to team members to ensure project success.
9. Documentation:
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation.
• Prepare and distribute reports on project progress, including key performance indicators.
• Archive project documentation for future reference and audits.
• Maintenance of the material stock report and the record of materials issued to vendors
10. Post-Implementation Review:
• Conduct thorough post-implementation reviews to identify lessons learned and areas for improvement.
• Document best practices and contribute to the continuous improvement of project management processes.
Requirements
• * BE or Dip in Electronics and Telecommunication or electrical.
• * Proven experience in managing structured cabling projects.
• * Knowledge in IT Actives like Routing and Switching, Electrical, Access Control, CCTV, FAPA, BMS, is a plus.
• * Strong knowledge of IEEE Cabling Standards and industry best practices
